Weather Policy
Utah weather decides more than we do. A walk is adjusted, shortened or moved indoors whenever conditions warrant it.
Heat
In high heat we move walks earlier or later, shorten distance, choose shade and check surface temperature. For heat-sensitive dogs we may substitute an indoor visit with enrichment.
Cold, snow and ice
In cold and icy conditions we shorten routes, avoid treated surfaces where possible, check paws and rinse salt.
Storms and lightning
Exposed trails are avoided in thunderstorm conditions. Walks may be moved to neighbourhood routes or rescheduled.
Air quality
During inversion or wildfire smoke we reduce exertion or replace a walk with an indoor visit.
Substitutions and refunds
Weather substitutions are communicated before the visit. Where no substitute service is possible, that booking is rescheduled or refunded.
