Pamela’s life with Akitas, German Shepherds and rescue animals has taught her to notice the little things: a familiar routine, a need for quiet company, or time to feel comfortable. Her hands-on animal experience includes dogs, cats, horses, birds, chickens and fish, with particular familiarity caring for large breeds, senior pets and animals who need a patient approach.

That experience shapes personalized, non-veterinary care—not clinical qualifications. Each request starts with your animal’s routines, written instructions, agreed boundaries and an emergency veterinary plan.

Tate, the Sun Valley sweetheart

Pamela travels to Sun Valley to care for Tate, a very spoiled teacup Yorkie. After a lifetime with large Akitas, he’s a delightful change of scale: considerably less dog, absolutely no less importance.

Whether a pet is tiny enough to make an Akita look enormous or takes up most of the sofa, Pamela’s starting point is the same: get to know the individual, respect their routines and make room for companionship.

Travel care is individually arranged, subject to availability, travel expenses, insurance and applicable work rules.

A blind rooster. A gentle hold.

Among Pamela’s memories of caring for animals is gently holding a blind rooster. Not every meaningful moment involves a dog or cat; sometimes it’s simply giving another animal a little time and careful attention.

It’s a small glimpse of the patience she brings to animals with different needs. Any present-day care is considered individually, with safe handling, owner instructions and a clear, non-veterinary scope.

How we work

Mobile by design

Care happens at your home, in your neighborhood, on an appropriate trail or in transit—not in a kennel or provider’s home. Individually arranged overnight care stays in the client’s home. Additional providers are introduced only after their experience and suitability for the request have been reviewed.
